As a financial representative in wealth management, her responsibilities include helping clients manage their financial goals by providing advice on investments, retirement planning and other wealth-building strategies. Additionally, she will maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
How HPU helped you get there: “High Point University helped me build strong communication and business skills through classes and real-world projects. These experiences prepared me to work with clients and handle responsibilities in my wealth management role.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “I had many impactful mentors, including professors like Teresa Parker, Chad Gurley, Larry Quinn, Matt Brophy, Julie Penfold, Bob Stec and Andrea Hunt, as well as supportive staff members like Chris Coleman, James Redd and Julie Randel in the mailroom. Their guidance, encouragement and support played a significant role in shaping who I am today and preparing me for success in my wealth management role.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was my student employment job in the mailroom, where I worked for five years. It taught me valuable skills in communication, time management and networking with both students and staff, which have been essential in my professional growth.”

Advice for underclassmen: “My advice for underclassmen is to take advantage of HPU’s resources, build relationships with professors and mentors and gain real-world experience through internships. Stay focused, work hard and enjoy your time — college goes by fast, so create lasting memories and appreciate every moment.”
