Internship plans: Kynley will be interning at Coca-Cola this summer as their Applied Learning Intern in Audit and Advisory services in Charlotte, North Carolina. As their Applied Learning Intern, she will be working with the audit and advisory team, where she will be learning from a team of auditors and CPAs to gain a deeper understanding of the accounting world.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU’s fall career fest in October put me in contact with Coca-Cola Consolidated and allowed me to network with their recruiters. This, in turn, led me to the interview process and being offered the internship position.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentors at HPU are my professors. They help me in the classroom, but also give tips and suggestions for my future. The classwork and materials they teach prepare me for interviews, understanding management and looking at a business’s financials.”
How you used Career & Professional Development: “The Office of Career and Professional Development was able to help me revise my resume and create a LinkedIn page to help me stand out to potential employers.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “HPU’s faculty has set me up for success and pushed me to go further and apply for new opportunities.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “Skills at HPU that have helped me prepare for long-term success include professionalism, interview skills, communication, strengthening my LinkedIn profile and enhancing my resume.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “Values and virtues from HPU that I will take with me after graduation include being grateful and that you earn your way to the top — things are not handed to you.”
