How HPU helped you get there: “HPU’s life skills education and excellent faculty played a huge role in my graduate school and career journey. The education I received within the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication was comprehensive, and prepared me well for a career in full-time Christian ministry.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor Matthew Jenkins — Assistant Professor of the Practice of Strategic Communication, was my most impactful mentor at HPU. Professor Jenkins was my advisor and provided great encouragement and advice during my time in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication.”
How you used Career & Professional Development: “I utilized the services of HPU’s Career & Professional Development office on multiple occasions throughout my time here, including for resume development and internship for credit preparation.”
Advice for underclassmen: “If I could give one piece of advice to underclassmen, I would recommend that they begin looking for internships and jobs early in their academic careers. Rather than waiting until your senior year to start looking for jobs, begin searching when you are a freshman or sophomore, to get a sense of how the industry is developing and what you should do to best prepare yourself for interviews and applications.”
