Post-graduation plans: Natalia will be starting her career as a sales professional for Tom James in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a sales professional, she will be building her own clientele and providing her clients with custom clothing, ranging from a full suit to a casual t-shirt. Natalia’s primary role is to keep her clients looking and feeling their best.
How HPU helped you get there: “I first learned about this opportunity through the professional selling program at HPU. I then had my first round interview during the sales career fair.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor at HPU has to be my professor Ginger Moore, Professor of the Practice of Marketing and Sales. She constantly finds new ways to apply what we learn from our textbook and lectures to real-life situations, encouraging us to think outside of the box. Most importantly, while we were learning in her classes we were always having fun! I will take every lesson she taught me as I transition into my professional career.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “I will keep HPU’s value of a growth mindset with me into my professional career. I know I will push myself outside of my comfort zone every day and continue to learn as I grow.”
Advice for underclassmen: “NETWORK! Talk to and introduce yourself to everyone you meet whether that’s at a career fair, speaker event, or even in the cafe — you never know who you’re going to meet!”
