Post-graduation plans: Reece is starting her career as an event director for Mountain View Venue and Event Center in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Her role as an event director consists of overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of events, ensuring they align with client expectations and venue standards. In addition, Reece will also be responsible for managing budgets, collaborating with clients and vendors, and leading a team to ensure seamless event operations.

How you used Career & Professional Development: “I partnered with the Career and Professional Development Office for a class project to plan and execute a career fair event. During this time, I collaborated closely with their team, gaining valuable insight into the wide range of services they offer to support student success. This experience enhanced my event planning and organizational skills and introduced me to the importance of professional development resources. I later utilized their services while searching for internships, which helped refine my resume, improve my interview skills and secure opportunities aligned with my career goals.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “High Point University helped me develop essential life skills that prepared me for long-term success, including effective communication, critical thinking and adaptability.
