How HPU helped you get there: “HPU encouraged me to seek fulfillment and understand what it is I want to do with my life; they gave me direction on how to get there.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Kathryn Elliott — Chair, Professor of the Practice, Entrepreneurship and Director of Entrepreneurship, Louis Ruggiero — Professor of the Practice of Management, Philip Slater — Adjunct Instructor for Accounting and JiNan Glasgow George. These professors went above and beyond to support me and teach me life lessons that have had a profound impact on my life.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “Winning Elevator Pitch and Business Plan competition with my company, Aircierge, as well as pitching to Marc Randolph. These were surreal to say the least, and full-circle moments from dreams I had my freshman year.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “Everything about this campus is intentional to set the bar for excellence. This for me, has been transformational, as a clear example of where we can be with hard work, determination and fostering a clear vision. My favorite description of campus is my Dad’s, ‘HPU is like if Walt Disney and Steve Jobs started a university together’.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “Communication and networking skills, personal responsibility and accountability, as well as encouraged me to show up with faithful courage.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “The values and virtues I will take with me after graduation are honesty and hard work.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Take time to work on your vision, it’s possible with hard work and focus. You become who you surround yourself with — take note of your closest influences.”
