How HPU helped you get there: “The amazing faculty pushed me academically and helped me realize my potential.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Dan Tarara, Associate Professor, Condon School of Health Sciences. I had this professor for multiple courses for my major. He will push you to think beyond the material and apply the information to everyday life. I know the information I learned in his courses will be helpful in my future career as an Occupational Therapist! Dr. Tarara is always there to talk to and answer any questions; he also cares about you as a person, not just as a student, which I really appreciated!”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “Taking my graduate photos with my lifelong friends that I have met during my four years at High Point University. It was like a full circle moment that I loved!”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “There are so many amazing mentors and alumni coming back to campus to speak and give information. It makes you look up to them and push yourself even harder.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “Some life skills I developed are: Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Responsibility.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “Who you talk to and connect with will help set you up for the future. It’s all about who you surround yourself with and who you introduce yourself to.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Push yourself and remember that every day is a new day! Take it one day and one thing at a time!”
