Internship plans: Ella landed an internship this summer with Gartner in Dallas, Texas, as their Sales Account Manager. The Account Manager Summer 2025 Sales Internship at Gartner is a 10-week program designed to develop skills in sales, client relationship management and communication. As an Account Manager in sales, Ella will engage in real-world sales activities, shadow associates and gain professional insights through mentorship and collaboration. This internship will prepare her for a dynamic career in sales, emphasizing growth, retention and executive engagement.

How HPU helped you get there: “I have connected with the Gartner Campus Recruiter, who is a Corporate Sponsor. As the Vice President of Finance for the Professional Selling Club, Natasha Nieves was my first-hand contact throughout our Sales Career Fair.“

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor Larry Quinn — Director of the Professional Selling Program and Chair of the Department of Sales– has been an extraordinary mentor, offering invaluable guidance drawn from his vast array of personal and professional experiences. His insights and achievements have profoundly shaped who I am today, leaving a lasting impact through his wisdom and support. What sets him apart is his relatability and unwavering belief in the potential of everyone he mentors, inspiring confidence and growth in all those fortunate enough to learn from him.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “By building a strong network, I’ve gained the confidence to grow both personally and professionally. Securing an internship during my freshman year was a pivotal milestone, allowing me to expand my reach within the company and lay the groundwork for future success.”

What has your internship experience been like and how is it preparing you for your future? “I secured an internship during my freshman year by networking and getting involved as soon as opportunities arose. I didn’t turn down chances simply because they weren’t aligned with my long-term goals.”

How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “I cultivated an environment rich with opportunities, empowering me to seize them and grow. This journey was made possible through the invaluable support of countless mentors, individuals and experiences that guided me along the way.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “The skills I have developed that will help prepare me are communication, networking and professional development.”

What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “Resilience and Leadership: The campus fosters innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, encouraging students to take initiative and lead in dynamic environments.
