Major: Business Administration 

Post-graduation plans: Jack will begin his career as an Account Executive at iHeartMedia in High Point, North Carolina. As an Account Executive at iHeartMedia, Jack will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships and create effective marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth. Additionally, Jack will also deliver sales presentations, negotiate rates and ensure client satisfaction through continuous communication and collaboration.

How HPU helped you get there: “My first role is thanks to High Point’s dedicated faculty and networking opportunities. I secured this position through High Point’s Spring Career Fair, utilizing the exceptional life skills High Point provided me.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor David Kame, Adjunct Instructor of Management, has been a great mentor to me through undergraduate and now professional career. Professor Kame has provided insight into networking and has made impactful connections in the community for me.”

How you used the Office of Career & Professional Development: “The Office of Career & Professional Development provided me with resume resources and the opportunity to attend the Spring Career Fair. This office is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful to students looking to begin their career.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “The most impactful moment at HPU was walking across the stage at graduation. Freshman year, this accomplishment seemed so far away and almost unattainable. Walking the stage and receiving my diploma was very impactful.”

How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “High Point gives all students a feeling of belonging and confidence to achieve their goals in life. Whether that be academic or professional, the support on campus and constant program growth allow students to observe ‘extraordinary’ results every day. This culture and support empower students to achieve great things and be successful.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “The life skills I will take with me into my professional and personal life are Networking skills, professionalism and adaptability.”

What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “Service to others, Civility and Respect, and of course God, Family and Country.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Be patient and accept each opportunity provided to you!”
