How HPU helped you get there: “I completed the undergraduate business degree at HPU and will now continue to take advantage of the amazing opportunity of a tuition-free master’s degree in communication and business leadership.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Kathryn Elliott, Chair, Professor of the Practice, Entrepreneurship, and Director of Entrepreneurship, was my most impactful mentor at HPU. Kathy encourages students with her passion for endless innovative ideas. She allowed me to present my ideas at the Student Entrepreneurship Showcase for the last two years.”

How you used Career & Professional Development: “I utilized the Office of Career and Professional Development to assist me in writing a professional resume, among many other things.”

How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “The students at HPU are successful because of the amazing professors, beautiful campus and available mentorship opportunities. This sets the bar high for students to know all that they can achieve in the future.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “HPU allowed me to learn and grow over the past four years through the many connections and opportunities offered. I have also participated in both the Entrepreneurship Elevator Pitch and Business Plan competitions. Both were amazing opportunities to present ideas and innovations in front of large audiences. Additionally, I have dined at 1924 Prime, one of HPU’s fine dining learning labs, regularly over the years and have learned a great deal about proper dining etiquette that will help me in my personal and professional life.”

Advice for underclassmen: “The resources available for a successful college experience at HPU are endless. Take advantage of everything you can!”
