Major: Criminal Justice, minor in Legal Studies and Philosophy
Post-graduation plans: Riley will join Beta Theta Pi as a Chapter Development Consultant for their national headquarters in Oxford, Ohio. Riley will serve as a general fraternity ambassador fostering strong relationships with chapters, volunteers and universities. He will serve as an operational expert on policies, traditions of the Fraternity, coach chapters, volunteers and universities. Additionally, Riley will serve as a project manager developing plans, managing their implementation according to dates, guidelines and expectations.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU gave me the opportunities to be involved and develop skills necessary to succeed in the workforce.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Sam Carr, Director of Student Leadership and University Relations. Sam was the SGA advisor when I was a member of the executive council and was a great resource to assist me in performing my role as Attorney General.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “Commencement ceremony, it was amazing to see how many students were able to be involved in different organizations based off their regalia.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “The life skills I developed are time management, learning how to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “To respect others and appreciate different cultures/backgrounds.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Take advantage of the leadership opportunities on campus and put yourself in uncomfortable situations.”
