How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped prepare me for my future by providing me with all the resources I needed to be successful. Whether it was networking events or amazing professors who truly cared, I found opportunities to grow and achieve my goals. HPU also gave me access to career fairs, mentorship, as well as workshops that helped me stand out through the job search process. Most importantly, the university created a culture that encouraged me to be confident, passionate and driven.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Dr. Summers, my Economics professor, showed me the value of approaching business in different ways and how deeply it’s connected to all aspects of life. His enthusiasm and wit made every class engaging and enjoyable — so much so that I added a minor in economics.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “One of the most impactful moments I had at HPU was landing my first internship through a connection I made at a campus networking event. It was the moment I realized how powerful the HPU community really is — how supportive professors, staff and even fellow students are in helping you succeed.”

How you used Career & Professional Development: “During my second week of freshman year, I visited the career center to start building my resume. I received valuable support preparing for my internship interview as a rising junior, and later got helpful tips and guidance when applying for full-time jobs.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Don’t be afraid to ask for help from professors, mentors, or even upperclassmen. Get involved in clubs or leadership opportunities that challenge you to grow. Most importantly, enjoy and take advantage of all the opportunities that come your way.”
