Post-graduation plans: Evan will begin his career as a TV Production Assistant for the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, Texas. Evan will assist the Dallas Cowboys media team with clipping, editing and broadcasting media on both their live production shows and their podcast.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped me by giving me an inspiring and engaging environment to practice and strengthen my skills as an editor.”
How you used the Office of Career & Professional Development: “I used the Office of Career and Professional Development often. Specifically talking to Dr. Doug Hall, Vice President for Career & Professional Development. He helped me figure out how to navigate the job market and how to put together a high-caliber resume and credentials.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Dr. Doug Hall, Vice President for Career & Professional Development and Dr. Robert Tillman, Director of Bonner Leader Program. Both strong, black men who showed me how to carry myself in a strong and professional setting.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “The most impactful moment of my HPU experience was when I was able to graduate and really put in perspective what I had accomplished.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “A skill I will take with me after graduation is that communicating with your peers and your team will help you all reach the fullest extent.”
