Post-graduation plans: Sarah is a Realtor for Keller Williams Realty in Kernersville, North Carolina. As a Realtor with Keller Williams, she helps clients buy, sell and invest in properties by offering marketing guidance and personalized service, because she knows that each person is unique in their housing needs. Additionally, she handles everything from marketing the home and negotiating deals to supporting her clients through each step of the process.
How HPU helped you get there: “High Point introduced me to lifelong connections that helped me land my job at Keller Williams.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Lillian Watson, Director of the Business Communications Program, is my most impactful mentor at HPU because she has always been there to listen and offer advice when I need it most. Professor Watson is such a kind and welcoming person, not only to me, but to everyone around her, which makes her a great role model.“
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was my study abroad in Spain this past May. I saw parts of the world I never would’ve gotten to see otherwise, met amazing people, both part of the study abroad program and in Spain, and made memories that will last a lifetime. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had and would definitely do again.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “The life skills HPU helped me develop, which prepared me for long-term success, were public speaking and networking, especially through the Phillips School of Business.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Put yourself out there and meet as many people as you can! You’ll not only gain lifelong friends, but may also meet someone who can connect you with your dream job.”
