In her role, Megan works with top interior designers to help bring their clients’ homes to life. She also supports design solutions at one of the industry’s leading luxury furniture brands for an incredible opportunity to collaborate with the best in the business inside Chicago’s iconic Merchandise Mart.
How HPU helped you get there: “Attending High Point University and participating in multiple High Point Markets allowed me to gain hands-on experience with the furniture industry and its professionals. This exposure gave me the confidence and industry knowledge needed to secure a role supporting top designers at a premier Chicago showroom.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor at HPU was Dr. Mark Setzler, professor of political sciences and director of international relations program. He held his students to a higher standard and pushed me to hold myself to that standard. He also emphasized in his classes executive presence and professionalism.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “The most impactful moment I had at HPU was Jane Seymour’s commencement speech. Her message to walk boldly and openly allowed me to find confidence as a young person entering the workforce. Allowing myself to feel assured that I would find my path.”
