Internship plans: Molly landed an internship with Carolina Core FC in High Point, North Carolina, as its Community Outreach Intern. As a Community Outreach Intern for Carolina Core FC, she will help build relationships between the club and the local community by supporting events, youth programs, and partnerships with schools and organizations. The role typically includes assisting with community events, coordinating outreach initiatives and helping promote the club’s mission through engagement and marketing efforts. The internship is a hands-on position focused on strengthening the club’s presence and impact throughout the region.
How HPU helped you get there: “The on-campus student organization, Business Professionals of America, has given me the tools to be able to confidently talk to employers and land my internship.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor is HPU alumna Gabriella Russo, ’25. She has been beyond helpful in getting me on the right track and giving me connections with other driven students.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was joining Business Professionals of America and meeting my newfound friends and peers, who keep me driven.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “HPU’s inspiring environment has motivated me to work harder and take advantage of the many opportunities available on campus. Being surrounded by supportive professors, driven students and a professional atmosphere has pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow both personally and professionally. That environment helped me build confidence, develop important skills and prepare for success after graduation.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “The life skills HPU helped me develop were leadership, professional communication, networking and relationship building, time management, teamwork and collaboration.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “HPU’s campus helped me develop values such as integrity, accountability and a strong work ethic that guide how I approach both academic and professional responsibilities. It also reinforced virtues such as respect for others, collaboration and compassion through opportunities to work with diverse groups of students and leaders. These experiences taught me the importance of serving others, leading with humility and maintaining professionalism in everything I do.”
