Post-graduation plans: Reily has joined Furnitureland South (FSL) as a Research Assistant Intern in Jamestown, North Carolina. In this role, Reily supports multiple departments across Furnitureland South. They will build and maintain targeted prospect lists, and ensure all records are accurate and well‑organized within CRM and research tools. Reily will also translate findings into clear briefs, reports and presentations that support consultant education, campaign planning and leadership decision‑making.

How HPU helped you get there: “My advisor Dr. Bradley Venable, chair of the department of management and Jefferson Pilot professor of the practice of supply chain management, helped me by providing a contact within FSL. HPU also helped develop my life skills, which are why organizations like FSL take in multiple HPU students.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “I would say my advisor Dr. Bradley Venable. He was incredibly helpful by helping me find internship opportunities through his network, and he was always willing to answer questions that helped me enforce my professionalism. “

Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was finding the correct major that fit my niche and skills.”

How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “Seeing my other friends find internship opportunities kept me motivated to find my path.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “HPU helped me develop my professionalism and confidence to be my authentic self.”

What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “The value and virtues I will take with me once I graduate are generosity, civility and most importantly, hard work.”

How did the Office of Career and Professional Development contribute to your success? “I attended appointments under David Smith, career advisor, where we would work together to tailor my resume toward the positions I applied for.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Don’t take anything for granted, learn to reflect on your wins and losses. Keep trying everything that HPU has to offer!”
