Whether it’s attending fine dining events to learn etiquette, participating in workshops with Innovators in Residence or simply showing up to class ready to learn from my professors, I’ve learned that every experience can contribute to my growth and push me closer to my future goals.”
How did you use the Office of Career & Professional Development?
“I used the Office of Career & Professional Development to help me with polishing my resume and creating my LinkedIn account.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“Dr. Justin Cook, director of the HPU Writing Center and assistant professor of English, has been my most impactful mentor because he consistently supported me both inside and outside the classroom. His guidance pushed me to grow not just as a student but also as a person, and knowing I could rely on him played a major role in my college experience.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moment at HPU was traveling to Oregon for the March Madness game, where I was surrounded by the shared energy of my peers. I realized that our school spirit shone through not only in the stands, but also on the planes, the buses, in the hotels and while waiting in line outside the stadium. It became clear to me that the HPU culture is built on pure love and support for each other, which is why it truly feels like one big family.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“My advice for the underclassmen is to say yes to everything. Start networking early, use all the career resources on campus, and dare to take on leadership positions. By embracing these opportunities, you will be learning how to be successful after graduation without even realizing it.”
