Post-graduation plans: Ainsley has accepted a position with EisnerAmper as a Tax Staff I on the Financial Services Team in New York City, New York. In this role, she will work with the Tax team to learn the preparation procedures of federal and state income tax returns for corporate and individual clients. Ainsley will also assist in tax planning and provision completion and review.

“My most impactful mentor was Christina Griffith, Jefferson-Pilot professor of the practice of accounting. She consistently supported me throughout my academic and career journey, always making me feel confident in my decisions during the job search process. She was more than just a professor and I could always rely on her for guidance, whether it was related to classes or planning for my future.”

Most impactful moment at HPU:

“One of my most impactful moments at High Point University was going through the recruiting process and accepting my position with EisnerAmper. It made me realize how much I had grown professionally and personally during my time at HPU. The experience showed me that the hard work I put into my classes, networking and career preparation had paid off and gave me confidence about my future.”

Advice for underclassmen:

“Take advantage of every opportunity to network, get involved and build connections with professors and peers at High Point University. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone or apply for opportunities even if you don’t feel fully qualified. The experiences and relationships you build during college can make a huge difference in preparing you for a successful career after graduation.”
