Internship plans: Chloe Koper, Class of 2027, served as a Product Development Intern at Interloop North America in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She gained hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and managed product data in BeProduct. Chloe evaluated and measured socks and apparel, observed fittings and learned firsthand how product development decisions come together.

“High Point University has taught me to be extraordinary and have confidence in myself while applying for jobs and interviewing with potential employers.”
What has your internship experience been like?:
“My internship experience this summer was truly amazing. Not only was I able to learn about Product Development, but I was also able to collaborate with the Design, Merchandising and Sales teams. Whether creating fabric headers for presentations, attending cross-functional meetings or learning more about the buying and merchandising side of fashion, each experience gave me a broader perspective on the industry. This internship has truly helped me to grow not only as a future product developer, but also as a more confident and well-rounded professional.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?:
“High Point University offers many amazing opportunities and amenities that have contributed to my success. From hosting networking events to having incredible study spots, these environments have shaped me and helped me to become a more successful and confident student.”
What values and virtues will you take with you?:
“High Point University has taught me many values and virtues that I will take with me after graduation. These include being able to dress and act professional in a business setting as well as being able to make those meaningful connections with future employers.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“Victoria Brown, chair and associate professor of home furnishings and interior design, is the most impactful mentor to me because she has always pushed me to be a stronger and more confident individual.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“The most impactful moment at High Point University was when the women’s and men’s basketball teams made it to the NCAA tournament and the whole entire school came together as one big team to cheer them on. This made me realize that HPU is really one big family and that is something that will be forever. Realizing this made me also realize that graduating and getting a career will be the beginning of a successful future. HPU taught me the importance of coming together as a family, but also the importance of sticking with them through the hard times and never giving up.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“After you graduate, and even before you graduate, the most important advice is to make as many connections as possible along the way. You never know what and who someone may know. Those meaningful connections can lead you to a lifetime of success.”
