Candidates for graduation must sign up in advance to participate in the December 2025 Commencement Ceremony. Eligible graduates will receive an email allowing them to sign up to participate.
**Participation in the December Commencement Ceremony will make you ineligible to participate in the May 2026 Commencement Activities.**

Complimentary guest tickets are required for the December Commencement Ceremony. Each graduate is allowed 12 guest tickets. Graduates will receive a link to register for electronic tickets in November. All guests will need a ticket to enter the Qubein Center. Graduating students will not need a ticket and will wear their regalia to enter. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors to the Qubein Center will open at 9:00 a.m. To maintain the respectful and reflective tone of this formal occasion, children under the age of 3 will be welcome in the family viewing area rather than the main ceremony location.
Commencement Regalia may be picked up beginning November 3 through December 11. Bookstore hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday 11:00am – 4:00pm. The bookstore will be closed from November 26 to November 30 for Thanksgiving holiday. Questions about academic regalia can be directed to the HPU Bookstore at (336) 841-9221 or [email protected].
Graduation Announcements and Rings
Balfour is High Point University’s official vendor for graduation announcements and rings. Orders can be placed online at www.balfour.com/highpoint/ or by calling 1-877-225-3687.

Diplomas will reflect first name, middle name/initial, last name, and any applicable suffix as submitted by application to the University Registrar. For those who graduate in December, diplomas will be mailed early Spring 2026.
Photography
A photographer with Photo Specialties will take photos of individual graduates as they walk across the stage during the commencement ceremony.
For safety and for the courtesy of others, guests should remain in their seats and should not approach the stage for photos.
A free color proof will be sent to the graduate’s current mailing address, including a password for online viewing. You are under no obligation to purchase prints. To receive an email notification the moment your photos are online, please visit www.photospecialties.com to pre-register. If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, please contact [email protected] or call 919-967-1700.
Line of March
Graduates should arrive by 9:15 a.m. on the day of the ceremony, in cap and gown, to the Hospitality Club in the Qubein Center. Follow the signage for direction. Faculty Marshals will line graduates up alphabetically. We ask that only graduates report to the Hospitality Club, all family members should stay in the lobby or be seated.

The ceremony will be streaming online at highpoint.edu/live-stream/.
Parking
- Parking and complimentary shuttles will be available from the Qubein Center parking lot located at 1315 N. University Parkway. Shuttles will begin transporting guests at 9:00 a.m.
- Parking for guests with disabilities will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis from the Qubein Center parking lot. Guests will be transported on wheelchair accessible shuttles and dropped off at the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center.

- Doors to the Qubein Center will open at 9:00 a.m.
- For the safety and security of graduates and guests, the following items are prohibited: glass containers, tobacco products, illegal drugs, explosives/fireworks, laser pointers, weapons of any kinds, including those carried with a permit, bags larger than 12 x 12, backpacks, noisemakers, air horns, balloons, signs and posters, coolers, and pets (excluding registered service animals).
- Clear bags are preferred, but not required.
