Candidates for Graduation Information

Any undergraduate student who intends to complete his or her undergraduate degree requirements (or be within 8 credit hours of completion) & meets a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the end of the current Spring 2026 term, must declare his or her intent to graduate to The Office of the University Registrar.

Submission of the Declaration of Intent to Graduate Application is required and serves as the degree candidate’s official notification to the University.

The deadline to submit the application for the Spring 2026 graduation term is January 31st, 2026.  The application is accessible via email request – [email protected].

Degree candidates will neither earn degrees nor be graduated from the university until they have officially applied for graduation and they have completed all degree requirements. Participation in a commencement ceremony does not presume graduation from the university.

Graduate School candidates for spring completion should apply for graduation in the Graduate School by January 31, 2026.

Candidates for graduation must notify the University Registrar Office if they do not plan to attend the Graduation Ceremony. Any candidate for graduation must provide the University Registrar a current address so that their diploma may be mailed.

Diplomas will reflect first name, middle name/initial, last name, and any applicable suffix as submitted by application to the University.

Students needing disability-related accommodations to participate in the Commencement Ceremony should contact Marideth Riggs, Vice President for University Events by April 15. Ms. Riggs can be reached by email at [email protected]

Diplomas will be mailed to graduates following the Commencement Ceremony.
