The Student Justice program offers the unique experience of working side-by-side with Faculty and Staff while developing professional and leadership skills. Involvement in the Student Justice Program provides an unparalleled opportunity to give back to the HPU community through thoughtful and compassionate contributions in the Community Standards process.
The Student Justice program is charged with administering the HPU hearing process in which all students are afforded an opportunity to present their viewpoint. Student Justice program members hold various positions in the hearing and are tasked in determining if the responding student is responsible or not responsible for the alleged policy violation(s). In addition, if found responsible, Student Justices determine appropriate sanctions for the violation presented to the board. They are also responsible for adjudicating conduct cases regarding policy violations of the HPU Conduct Code and Honor Code.
Being selected as a HPU Student Justice is one of the highest honors a student may receive while on the campus of High Point University.
The Office of Community Standards in conjunction with the Student Government Association hold open application periods in each the Fall and Spring semesters. If you are interested, please review the requirements and submit an application to be a Student Justice!
