Hands-On AI Tools Workshop
Get hands-on with today’s leading AI tools, from ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to Claude, Gemini, and Canva. Guided prompt-writing exercises, real work tasks, and a Personal AI Action Plan tied to your goals. The workshop is recorded, so you can attend in person or complete it online.
What is AI And How Does it Work
This module introduces the basics of artificial intelligence (AI), including what it is and how it works. You will learn how AI systems use data to recognize patterns, make decisions, and support real-world applications.
Prompting | How to Use AI Effectively
Learn prompting basics, focusing on using role, task, context and format to communicate clearly with AI. This module will teach how to structure inputs to produce more accurate, relevant, and effective responses.
Evaluation | How to Assess Accuracy and Bias
This module equips learners with the skills to critically evaluate AI generated outputs, identify issues such as hallucinations, bias, and inaccuracies. Participants will apply practical evaluation frameworks to assess trustworthiness and make informed decisions about appropriate use.
Ethics | Responsible and Appropriate Use
This module explores how to use AI responsibly by recognizing key risks related to privacy, bias, intellectual property, and misuse. Learners will apply rules and practical judgment to make ethical, informed decisions when working with AI tools in real-world contexts.

Attend the full session in person, or watch the recorded session online.
Complete the Hands-On Workshop
Complete the full facilitated lab, including your Personal AI Action Plan, in person or online.
Pass Online Modules 1-4
Score 80% or above on each module, with unlimited attempts to learn. All modules completed by the end of the semester.
