Staying Hungry for Success
Jack LaSalla, a 2024 graduate is no stranger to being busy. As a triple major in Finance, Marketing and International Business along with three minors in Theater, Sales and Spanish, along with being in multiple organizations LaSalla is constantly looking to evolve himself. With his drive and hunger for success it’s no wonder that he’s landed himself into a position at BNY Mellon in New York as a Global Finance Leadership Program Analyst. Jack attributes his achievements to both his determination and the essential skills he gained at HPU.

Balancing the Books and Building a Future
Collin Devine, a 2021 graduate of High Point University with a degree in Accounting now a Senior Tax Associate at PwC in Boston, found his path to success through immersive learning and campus involvement at High Point University. From filing real tax returns in class to serving his community through VITA, Colin turned hands-on experience into career confidence, supported by inspiring mentors and career advisors who helped him reach his goals.
Big Names. Big Dreams.
James Jadotte, a 2014 graduate of HPU, turned his internship with JetBlue Airways into a career following graduation. Jadotte worked in their HR compliance department and he later he moved to Facebook’s HR compliance team. Today, he works at Google as an Engineering Program Manager in their Corporate Engineering Department.
As a student, Jadotte was a University Ambassador, a peer mentor, and involved in various other organizations across campus. He befitted from the various mentorship opportunites available at HPU. From faculty and the President’s First-Year Seminar on Life Skills, a class taught for all freshman, Jadotte was prepared with the life skills he needed to succeed.

Joining J.P. Morgan Chase
As a student, Tameling engaged with a number of impressive business executives and leadership experts. He had the opportunity to meaningfully interact with those individuals and even met Dr. John Maxwell, HPU’s Executive Coach in Residence after one of his interviews on campus. The mentorship he received at HPU, not only from the Access to Innovators Program, but also professors and staff, made all the difference for Tameling.
“I was so happy to be at a school that would let me ‘do it all.’ I am a finance major going to work for a bank, but I still had the opportunity to pursue my passion of music on campus. What a gift!”
Tameling now works at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in the rotational analyst program for the mid-market commercial bank. He is responsible for assisting private firms with annual revenues between $20 million and $500 million with banking, treasury and credit services while simultaneously connecting customers with the full-reaching resources of the greater J.P. Morgan Chase institution.

Finding Fuel for Success
Tyler Heaggans graduated from HPU in 2013, but even after 10 years, he still calls the campus home. Starting at High Point University, he developed the life skills needed to elevate his career long-term — finding success and significance in any role. He hasn’t had just one great job. He’s had upward mobility in corporate roles at organizations including Family Dollar, Target and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
He has found success and wisdom throughout his career. As a lifelong learner with invaluable life skills, he has contributed his talent to multiple impressive companies and continued to learn and thrive in new areas of business.

A Universal Understanding
Carly Garr’s accomplishments are impressive. After graduating, she started out at NBCUniversal’s GolfNow, a division of the Golf Channel, as a business services specialist. She created graphics, marketing materials and e-mail campaigns for golf courses that align themselves within The Golf Channel/GolfNow. Today, she works with Universal Destinations & Experiences as a senior global product designer.
And if you visit the parks – you’ll get to experience some of her hard work. Some of the user experience measures she designed are at the entrance gates and throughout the park. She credits HPU and the alumni connections she made for helping her land her current role.

Serving Others
As a student, Michael Esposito wanted to share his love for service with others. With the help of his fraternity, the Kappa Alpha Order, her started Operation K.A.R.E. to support wounded veterans. Long after he graduated, the operation has continued and every year, they raise money to donate a track chair to a local veteran in need. That spirit has carried on in his career with the American Conservative Coalition as their Chief of Staff.
