Chelsea Shaughnessy

Hi! Let me introduce myself, my name is Chelsea Shaughnessy and I am the Admission Counselor for Western North Carolina. I was born and raised in Massachusetts, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Nichols College. I have spent most of my professional career in the Northeast and Western North Carolina in the world of NCAA sports, coaching soccer. During my experiences in collegiate coaching, I have had the opportunity to work at collegiate institutions that have a big range in academic models, sizes, and outcomes which is why I am excited to join High Point University. I continue to be impressed by HPU’s commitment to provide every student with an experiential education in state-of-the-art facilities, access to industry leaders, while also having a key focus on the personal growth of every student to develop key life skills. I am confident when you graduate from HPU you will be leaps and bounds ahead of your peers at other colleges and universities because of the extraordinary opportunities that are here for you.
