My research explores the biochemical and ecophysiological adaptations of plants to environmental stress, with a focus on anthocyanin pigments. Projects involve a combination of laboratory and field research. Current projects in my lab include:
1. Environmental factors influencing autumn leaf color
2. Functional role of anthocyanin pigments in leaf spot diseases
3. Ecological effects of red/purple coloration in the undersides of floating aquatic plants
4. Anthocyanin patterns in heirloom vegetables: an organic pest management strategy?
