John David Ariansen is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at High Point University, where he teaches courses in Excel, data analysis, and business applications of analytics. His teaching emphasizes judgment over rote mechanics and treats AI literacy as a first-class outcome for every business student.
Before joining HPU, he taught at Greensboro College, where he helped develop the analytics minor. His teaching also reaches well beyond campus: he has authored seventeen courses on LinkedIn Learning, reaching more than one million learners, and his YouTube channel serves roughly 20,000 subscribers.
Outside the classroom, he is the founder of Silvertone Analytics, a boutique data consulting firm established in 2018. He is also a central organizer of the Triad’s AI meetup community.
He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
