Brenton joined HPU in July 2023 as a Career Advisor. Before joining HPU, Brenton served as an educator with Guilford County Schools at the middle and high school levels. He also has prior experience in education as a Teaching Assistant for North Carolina A&T State University’s Department of Biology. Brenton was able to transform techniques and experiences learned throughout his collegiate career to mentor and teach students that were interested in health sciences to explore as many options as possible. He has worked with Cone Health in a direct patient care role as nursing support. Brenton has also had research opportunities in health sciences, specifically as a Research Assistant for the Center for Outreach in Alzheimer’s, Aging, and Community Health, in which he was able to contribute to the delivery of programming focused on healthy living.
While he has much experience in health sciences, Brenton enjoys supporting students across majors. Brenton is a native of Gastonia, North Carolina and has resided in Greensboro for the last 10 years. He is an alumnus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in the years of 2017 and 2020 as Biology and Education majors.
