Chris Mitchell serves as the Graduate School and Alumni Career Advisor in the Office of Career & Professional Development. With over 15 years advancing diversity, inclusion, and student success in higher education, he provides personalized career counseling, graduate school application guidance, and strategic planning for graduate students and alumni across industries.
His journey began teaching sixth-grade math and science in Detroit, followed by coordinating graduate studies at the University of Findlay, leading STEM outreach for students at the University of Michigan and Bowling Green State University, and supporting student pathways and pipeline development initiatives at the Association for International Certified and Professional Accountants. Earning a BA in Psychology and MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo, Chris empowers students through job search strategies, interview preparation, employer relations, and lifelong professional development.
