Eric McMahan joined the Office of Career & Professional Development in August 2025 as a Career Advisor. Eric has over 8 years of collective experiences in higher education in helping students and elevating programs in the areas of student and academic affairs. He brings his passion in educating and empowering students to become transformative leaders in their own life and career journey.
Prior to HPU, Eric has served in providing career guidance to diverse student populations at both private and public institutions. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership at Texas Christian University, and holds an MBA from The Citadel Graduate College and a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
