Samantha Gates Reese is a Career Advisor in the Office of Career and Professional Development. She previously worked as a retail management trainee and recruiter, where she helped in all aspects of the hiring and recruiting process. She is passionate about early-career talent and education, the arts, and literacy. She represents High Point University as a member of the Executive Board for the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Employers. Additionally, she has lived abroad and speaks Brazilian Portuguese.
Samantha is a collaborative and creative thinker who enjoys assisting students in telling their story and marketing their unique skills. In her time at HPU, she has worked with students from a variety of majors and backgrounds. She is native to the North Carolina Triad and graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with minors in Business Administration and Psychology. She graduated with her Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Higher Education from Appalachian State University.
