Dr. Lattier is Director of the Caine Conservatory in the Wanek School of Natural Sciences at High Point University. Before moving to High Point, Dr. Lattier completed his Ph.D. in Horticulture at Oregon State University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Floral and Nursery Plants Research Unit of the U.S. National Arboretum. Dr. Lattier’s research interests focus on plant breeding and genetics of ornamental plants. In addition to his education, Dr. Lattier has extensive experience working in public gardens and conservatories around the world. Some of the highlights of his career include internships at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, the Nectandra Institute in Costa Rica, the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, and the world’s largest conservatories at the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK. Throughout his career, Jason has developed a passion for horticulture, for botanical research, for teaching, and for sharing new and interesting plants with world.
