Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor
Dr. Susan Blake Pacanowski serves the Office of Counseling Services as the Executive Director. She is dedicated to providing care for the HPU community, including students, parents, and colleagues by addressing mental health needs alongside her clinical team. Dr. Blake Pacanowski has a strong background in clinical mental health counseling with over 20 years in the profession. She earned her PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education with a cognate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also holds a graduate certificate in Student Affairs in Higher Education from East Carolina University. Dr. Blake Pacanowski enjoys seeing young people make successful transitions into their adult lives. As a parent to an emerging adult, she understands the deep trust parents place in HPU with their children and hopes to serve as a support when concerns arise. She views mental and emotional well-being as a critical component of development in learning life skills. In her personal life she loves spending time with her husband, son, and dogs!
