Isabel Oakes is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate in North Carolina. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in couple and family counseling, from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in May 2024. Isabel has worked with clients across all life stages. She has worked with individuals, groups, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and relational issues. Isabel believes that a collaborative partnership is the most effective approach to counseling. While the client is seen as the expert of their own life, Isabel’s role is to facilitate growth and change, supporting clients in achieving their goals. Isabel strives to create an open and safe space for collaborative care, aiming to foster meaningful change. A client-centered, humanistic approach forms the foundation of her practice, with a belief that transformative change occurs within a therapeutic relationship built on genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance. Isabel incorporates concepts from Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. Outside of work, Isabel can be found reading, exercising, or enjoying quality time with her husband and cat.
