Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate
Maleeha Hassan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UNCG, and her Master of Social Work Degree at UNCG and NCA&T University. Having completed her master’s internship at UNCG’s Counseling Center, she then went on to work at NCSU and NCA&T as a Clinical Counselor. She has expertise in working with college students faced with adjustment or identity related concerns, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and neurodivergent disorders. Maleeha works with individuals who may have Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety, or borderline personality disorder. She provides an affirming space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students.
Additionally, Maleeha has worked in community mental health with children, adolescents, and adults. She provides a varied approach to treatment, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as DBT, CBT, and Strengths-Based interventions. Maleeha collaborates with students to tailor a treatment plan that best suits each student’s individualized needs. In her free time, Maleeha enjoys hiking, spending time with her dog and two cats, and drawing.
