Artistic Statement:

Seek truth.  Entertain and enlighten.  Simple is good.  Serve the story.

All of these are words of advice or encouragement that I have taken from teachers, mentors, and fellow artists. I believe this is both my goal and my responsibility as an actor, director, teacher or any other title I may claim. My work is influenced heavily by the physical comedy of Commedia Del ‘Arte’, and Mel Brooks, the physical acting work of Michael Chekov as well as the work of Sanford Meisner, Konstantin Stanislavski, and Jim Henson.

If you put them all together you have my personal stylistic approach to acting and artistry. I believe in a two way street of allowing your physical life to affect your inner life and vice versa, while balancing all of this with entertaining an audience, offering a message but not forcing one upon them, simplifying and essentializing, to serve the story and above all things to let your ego go.
