Dr. Benjamin Dyer is a Professor and the Assistant Dean of Experiential Education and Practice Integration at the Workman School of Dental Medicine. He earned his B.S. in Biochemistry and his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Temple University, and completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Veterans Administration. He is also a Fellow (FAGD) and Master (MAGD) of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Dyer identifies most strongly with the “Clinician” component of the Workman School of Dental Medicine CARE Model. He specializes in restorative dentistry – including implants, esthetic dentistry, and prosthodontics – laser dentistry, sleep apnea management, treatment planning for complex cases, and clinical oversight for residents and pre-doctoral students. His work focuses on integrating hands-on clinical experience with innovative teaching to prepare students for excellence in modern dental practice.
Dr. Dyer was drawn to High Point University by the unique opportunity to contribute to a start-up dental school and embrace the challenges of building something new. He is passionate about patient education, empowering individuals to take an active role in shaping their treatment goals and overall oral health journey.
