Dr. Heba Hussein serves as an Assistant Professor in Oral Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Education at the Workman School of Dental Medicine, where she is dedicated to advancing foundational science education and strengthening the integration of biomedical knowledge within clinical dental training. In her role at High Point University, she is committed to preparing future dental professionals through innovative teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice.
Dr. Hussein earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) from Cairo University, followed by a Master of Science in Oral Medicine and Periodontology from Cairo University. She later completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Howard University, further deepening her expertise in oral health sciences and academic research.
Through her teaching and scholarly work, Dr. Hussein focuses on connecting biomedical sciences to clinical application, helping students build a strong scientific foundation for patient care. She is passionate about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence within the dental curriculum at the Workman School of Dental Medicine.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Hussein enjoys journaling, reading, gardening, and cooking. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, balance, and lifelong learning, which she brings into both her teaching and her engagement with the High Point University community.
