Dr. Maria Khan serves as Attending Faculty in General Dentistry and Assistant Professor of Primary Care – Orofacial Pain at the Workman School of Dental Medicine, where she is dedicated to advancing patient-centered care and supporting the development of future dental professionals. In her role at High Point University, she contributes to clinical education with a focus on comprehensive primary care and the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain conditions.

 

Dr. Khan earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) from Lahore Medical and Dental College, followed by a Master of Science in Oral Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also completed advanced training and a certificate in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Orofacial Pain at the University at Buffalo, further strengthening her expertise in this specialized area of care.

 

Her clinical and academic interests center on the evaluation and management of complex orofacial pain conditions, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based, patient-focused treatment. Dr. Khan is committed to helping students develop strong diagnostic skills, clinical confidence, and a thoughtful, compassionate approach to patient care within High Point University’s collaborative learning environment.
