Dr. Thomas Roth serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Interim Chief Dental Officer at the Workman School of Dental Medicine, where he brings decades of clinical expertise and a strong commitment to patient-centered care and student mentorship. In his role, Dr. Roth supports clinical operations and helps guide the next generation of dental professionals by emphasizing high-quality care, professionalism, and hands-on learning that reflects High Point University’s commitment to excellence and experiential education.
Dr. Roth earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the National Autonomous University in Mexico City, Mexico, and has more than 30 years of experience in general and implant dentistry. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is dedicated to serving diverse patient populations and fostering clear, compassionate communication in every clinical interaction. Throughout his career, Dr. Roth has worked as both a solo practitioner and associate in private practice and spent more than a decade with Heartland Dental, where he mentored new dental graduates and supported their transition into clinical practice.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Roth has completed more than 300 hours of continuing education, with advanced training in implant dentistry, aesthetic procedures, and endodontics. He holds certifications from leading institutions such as the Engel Institute and BioHorizons and is an Invisalign provider and member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Known for his compassionate approach and attention to detail, Dr. Roth is passionate about creating predictable, comfortable treatment experiences for patients while helping students build the confidence and skills needed for successful dental careers.
