Dr. Patrick M. Roberson is a Clinical Associate Professor in General Dentistry and Public Health and serves as Chief Dental Officer. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Carolina State University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (Baltimore College of Dental Surgery).
Dr. Roberson brings extensive clinical and leadership experience to his role, including 14 years as a private practice owner and most recently serving as State Dental Director and Oral Health Section Chief for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).
His scholarly contributions include publications in the North Carolina Medical Journal and the North Carolina Dental Gazette. His professional interests focus on clinical systems development, practice performance improvement, and integrating innovative care delivery models into academic dental education.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Roberson enjoys hunting, gardening, and writing.
