Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship

Dr. Debbi D. Brock is an internationally recognized expert on social entrepreneurship expert, professional trainer and dedicated social change advocate specializing in systems change, scaling social impact, and entrepreneurship education. She joined High Point University in August 2025 as Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship in the David S. Congdon School of Entrepreneurship, one of only a few standalone entrepreneurship schools in the United States.

 

From 2021-2025, she left her tenured position at Wingate University to lead the development of a global systems learning program for social change leaders with Catalyst Now. As a social innovator, she co-founded the Social Change Innovators online knowledge hub for social entrepreneurs and educators which earned the USASBE Excellence in Innovative Pedagogical award.

 

Dr. Brock’s contributions to the field have been widely recognized. In 2024, she was named a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow by USASBE, the highest honor for significant contributions to the field of entrepreneurship. She received AshokaU’s “Distinguished Service to the Field of Social Entrepreneurship Education” in 2021 and the “Best Paper in Social Entrepreneurship” award from USASBE in 2015.

 

Brock’s consulting portfolio includes the International Labour Organization, the Sullivan Foundation Service and Social Entrepreneurship program, Ashoka, Global Leaders program, and the Institute for International Education (Fulbright). In 2011, she developed the University of Oxford first online Social Entrepreneurship course attracting global attention from social innovators and students alike.

 

Her publications include Multi-Disciplinary Involvement in Social Entrepreneurship Education: A Uniquely Threaded Ecosystem, Universities Assimilating Social Change Cross Campus: Building Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystems, and Social Entrepreneurship Education: A Unique Opportunity in a Changing Educational Landscape.

 

Dr. Brock earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Northcentral University and resides in North Carolina.
