Don Noone is Professor of the Practice in Finance. Mr. Noone teaches Introduction to Financial Management and Investment Analysis. He earned a B.A. in Medieval and Renaissance History from William & Mary and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University with a double concentration in Finance and Marketing.
Mr. Noone recently retired as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of VN Capital Management LLC, an asset management firm he co-founded 23 years ago, which at its peak managed $140 million. VN Capital specialized in small capitalization global equities and made select control equity investments. The company has pursued numerous successful activist investor campaigns across the globe, including in Canada, Mexico and Denmark. VN Capital has been profiled in Value Investor Insight newsletter twice.
Mr. Noone served on the Board of Directors of Big Rock Brewery Inc. in Calgary, AB, Canada from 2015 to 2025, where he served as Chairman of the Audit Committee as well as the Strategy & Investment Special Committee. Before founding VN Capital, Mr. Noone worked in Marketing and Corporate Development in the Corporate Services division of the American Express Company.
