Adrienne Reda
Global Education Coordinator

Adrienne Reda is High Point University’s Global Education Coordinator and a Designated School Official (DSO). She works primarily with short-term, faculty-led study abroad programs such as the Global Experience and Maymester courses. As a Global Education Coordinator, Adrienne is dedicated to enhancing students’ educational journeys through firsthand experiences in diverse settings around the world. Through her personal travels, she has come to appreciate the importance of international experiences in developing critical thinking and adaptability skills, a global perspective, and empathy.

Prior to joining the team at HPU, Adrienne graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Education. During her time at Geneseo, she studied abroad in Granada, Spain, which ultimately guided her decision to one day teach internationally. Thus, following her graduation, Adrienne returned to Spain and spent several years teaching English abroad in the Valencian Community. After teaching internationally, Adrienne returned to her hometown in New York and taught locally. Throughout her time in academia, she has had the opportunities to work with students of all ages and has always found it true that experiential learning opportunities allow students to take ownership of their learning and apply their knowledge to real-life situations.

Outside of High Point University, Adrienne loves to explore new cultures through travel and has been fortunate enough to visit different countries in North and South America, Europe and Africa.
