Chelsea Sapp Golden (’10) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides counseling services at High Point University. She believes counseling is a collaborative process that gives students a safe, supportive space to slow down, feel heard, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Chelsea works with students experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, grief and loss, life transitions, perfectionism, and the emotional and relational challenges that can accompany college life. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized, drawing from attachment-based, trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based perspectives.
With more than 12 years of counseling experience, Chelsea is passionate about helping students recognize their strengths, develop practical tools for navigating challenges, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. She strives to create a counseling environment where students feel respected, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
