Shaunita Faucette joined High Point University in June 2019 as a Human Resources Business Partner focused on providing HR services to employees and supporting leadership with coaching and resources.  Shaunita now serves as the Human Resources Operations Manager, where her goal is to ensure HR initiatives run smoothly and that all University policies and procedures are followed to remain in compliance with employment and labor law. Shaunita enjoys having the ability to influence people’s lives, working directly with, and for, others, helping others develop professionally, and ensuring all questions and concerns are answered and addressed in a timely fashion.

Assisting employees with work-related issues

Facilitate recruiting, staffing, and hiring practices to ensure timely onboarding and orientation for new employees

Partnering with hiring managers to drive recruitment efforts for open positions

Conducting workplace investigations in compliance with employment laws and HPU policies.

Maintaining accurate employee data in HR-related systems

Providing advice and assistance to departments, employees, applicants, and/or members of the general public regarding documentation, procedures, and inquiries related to Human Resources.

Completing hiring requisition requests from hiring managers and ensuring that positions are posted on the Employment Opportunities website.

Creating and issuing job offer letters and ensuring appropriate language is included.

Providing instruction and guidance to assist managers/supervisors throughout the vetting process.

Initiating pre-employment background checks.

Processing job changes, supervisor changes, compensation changes, and other data changes.
