Dr. Tara Shollenberger is an Assistant Professor of Educational Studies at High Point University with extensive experience in higher education leadership and administration. She holds an Ed.D. in Adult & Community College Education from North Carolina State University, where she researched ethical decision-making among higher education leaders.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Shollenberger previously served as Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Assistant Dean of Students at High Point University. Her expertise spans threat assessment, student conduct, policy development, and leadership in higher education. As an accomplished researcher, she has published peer-reviewed articles on topics including campus safety, gun violence prevention, and educational leadership. Her co-authored book “Higher Education Law: A Practitioner’s Guide” serves as a valuable resource for professionals in the field. Dr. Shollenberger is actively involved in national organizations including NABITA and ASCA, where she serves as faculty for professional development programs. Her current research focuses on women in higher education leadership, threat assessment practices, and international education. She is committed to preparing the next generation of educational leaders through her teaching, mentorship, and service.
