Dr. Dave Tofanelli is the Associate Dean and Professor of the Practice of Management, Phillips School of Business, at High Point University. Prior to being named Associate Dean, Dr. Tofanelli served as Chair of the Department of Management and Director of the MBA Program. In addition to his duties at High Point University, Dr. Tofanelli is the Managing Partner of Inspired Growth Partners, an executive coaching firm.
Prior to High Point University, Dr. Tofanelli was the administrator of the largest cardiology practice in central North Carolina. Before this, Dr. Tofanelli led his own consulting group, specializing in health plan contracting, strategic planning, and executive coaching. Before beginning his consulting firm, Dr. Tofanelli spent 10 years as a senior executive with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Dr. Tofanelli’s other experience includes a vice president position at MedMark Services, Inc. Dr. Tofanelli was also the chief executive officer of one of Kaiser Permanente’s largest medical centers. Dr. Tofanelli also served in the United Stated Air Force and is a Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm veteran.
Dr. Tofanelli earned his doctorate in organizational leadership from Northcentral University. He completed a post-graduate fellowship in healthcare policy from the Air Force Institute of Technology. His MS in systems management is from the University of Denver and his MBA was earned at Golden Gate University. His BSBA is from Our Lady of the Lake University. Dr. Tofanelli is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Medical Group Management Association and the Association of Leadership Educators
