Ginger Moore, Professor of the Practice of Marketing and Sales, joined the Earl N. Phillips School of Business as an adjunct faculty member teaching Consumer Behavior in 2021, transitioning shortly thereafter to join the faculty full-time in the Spring of 2023. She teaches a variety of Sales and Marketing courses, and also serves as a Co-Director for the Siegfried Leadership Fellows Program and as Faculty Advisor to the National Retail Federation (NRF) Club.

 

Professor Moore earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina and post-graduate certificates in Community College Teaching and Training & Development from North Carolina State University. She holds professional certifications in Career Coaching, Process Improvement, and Human Resources and is a licensed North Carolina Life and Health and Disability Insurance Agent.

 

Ms. Moore has a diverse employment history in the sales and marketing of financial products including municipal bonds, annuities, and insurance products. A native New Yorker, Ms. Moore began her sales career with municipal bond sales teams at prominent Wall Street firms while attending Pace University’s New York City campus in the evenings.

 

Ms. Moore is also an experienced Professor. She taught English as a second language while living and studying in Tokyo, Japan, and spent almost a decade teaching business courses in the University of South Carolina system.

 

Professor Moore recently retired as a Vice President for Treasury Solutions from Truist (formerly BB&T). She was originally hired as a Client Training Manager to develop client training materials for Treasury products which included detailed product websites, marketing materials, interactive client learning tools, downloadable reference guides, and live learning instructor-led webinars classes. Ms. Moore shares that one of her favorite responsibilities at Truist was moderating the Treasury Sales bi-weekly ‘update call,’ which offered her the opportunity to create, manage, and produce a “weekly talk show” for Truist teammates. She states that the experience helped polish her presentation skills and classroom lectures.

 

In addition to teaching at HPU, Ms. Moore is also the mother of two High Point University students. Her oldest child is a December 2021 HPU graduate and is thriving in at her full-time employment in Raleigh, North Carolina while also attending Winthrop University to earn a Master of Business Administration degree. Her youngest child is about to become an HPU December 2023 graduate and will begin classes to earn High Point University’s Master Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration degree.
